I had a colleague once, an Afrikaans woman, whose nn was Neta. In her case, it was short for Agneta, so in neither case does it have anything to do with being 'neat' and tidy, but it always sounds as if it should. She was a good person and I liked her, but I'm at best neutral about her name.
