I've always been confused about this name. But now I decided that it is not my cup of tea. It has an ugly sound similar to the Italian words for heel or traitor.
It is not feminine at All and I prefer other Irish masculine names.

Honestly, I've always thought the sound of it was really ugly and I've always been baffled by its use as a first name.
It also feels dated and soap opera-ish, so I'm doubly surprised when I see it used on kids now.
