[Opinions] Re: Benjamin, Bennett, or Benedict? (m)

I don't enjoy Bennett at all as a given name.
Our nephew Benjamin started off as Benji but has now become Ben, except when he's naughty which is most of the time. It seems like a very long name to me, longer than Benedict which is nonsensical.
I prefer Benedict. The only thing that puts me off it is its extremely specific Christian roots. Oh, and I'd never use it anyway because of having a Beatrice daughter. Shakespeare is all very well in his place.
