I read a while back that this name was the real first name of author L. Frank Baum (one of my favorite authors).
WDYT of the name Lyman for a boy? Do you think it could make a comeback?

There is a character by that name in the awesome movie Harvey, so I like it a little because of that, but otherwise it wouldn’t be my style.

As far as I know, it was never popular, so I wouldn't say it's going to have a comeback, but I wouldn't mind seeing it used.
It reminds me of Herman and Lyle, yet seems more likable than both...the meaning's nicer, too.
I think Lyle has made a small comeback in the US.
