[Opinions] Blanca
Opinions on Blanca? I think the sound is nicer and simpler than that of Bianca.
Do you like the meaning? It means 'white', I think it's ok but there are nicer meanings out there...

It is a nice name, but there are other Spanish names I like better.

I think it is nice. Especially said Blon-Kuh, not said as Blanc-uh. I think it is nicer then Bianca, too, which sounds a bit snobby and nazal in my opinion.

It’s funny. I love Bianca and I like Blanche, but I’m not into Blanca at all. Bianca brings to mind pure white doves. Blanche brings to mind a pale, refined lady. Blanca brings to mind staring at an empty canvas waiting for inspiration.

The sound is too close to 'blank' as in, a blank slate. Apart from that, it's better than Blanche but I'd prefer Bianca, though never enough to even think about using. As for the meaning, once you give a child a name, that name acquires the meaning of 'my child'. All others are secondary.

Hi Perrine !!!Blanca is..ok. But to my ear seems only a variant of Bianca.I used to love Bianca. It still has an ethereal and aristocratic vibe with a soft sound.Blanca instead is ruined by the 'bla' part that is strange to see as reminds me 'blablabla' that is said when a person talk too much (like saying etc...) or when you want to stress that some info are silly or can be omitted. Why am I explaining that? Surely 'blablabla' is used where you live, isn't it?

I'd say the opposite, that Bianca is nicer sounding and simpler. The sound of Blanca reminds me of 'blank', and the meaning reinforces that. Also, Blanca seems like a word name to me, so the meaning of 'white' is an immediate/obvious association, and that alone would make me feel awkward using it. A meaning of white or blank could be conceptualized positively, but that's not my immediate reaction. The meaning of 'white' for Bianca comes across as more abstract to me and doesn't bother me in the same way.

I think 'bianca' is the word for 'white' (feminine form) in Italian so it is also equally obvious to me. I like Bianca too but the one I know got called Bibi and I am kind of happy that this is not as likely with Blanca. But I like them both :)

I guess it'd depend where I lived. I wouldn't want to have a name that people around me would be likely to read as White. I know a lot of people who speak at least basic Spanish, but only a couple who speak Italian.

50/50 I like it because it has a nice ring to it but the "L" throws me off a bit
