I think there's thousands of lovely girls' names out there without using random surname-like names. What about Isla, Elise, Elsie, Ellice, Elissa, Ailsa?

I have to disagree with you there.
And, I also didn't get it from star wars.
probably because I'm not familiar with it and it always had kind of bothered me when I was younger.
I just heard it and thought it was a very nice name.
I wasn't aware it had any tying to that.
