[Opinions] Twins Full Names
The 5yo I care for goes to school with twins Eva & Rose. This is how they were introduced, their names on their pegs and boxes, and how I hear their mother and nanny call them.
Last week I noticed their names on self-registration cards and their full names are Evangeline and Rosalyn! I was shocked! They have a little sister called Abby (I can only presume she's Abigail) and the family are expecting their 4th daughter in July.
What do you think of Evangeline & Rosalyn, and Abigail? And what would you name their next sister?

So I like Eva and Rose as twins. It's cute. But Evangeline and Rosalyn have the same ending sound and the set drags for me. I prefer:
Eva and Rosalyn
Evangeline and Rose
Evangeline and Rosalie
Evangeline and Rosalia
Evangelina and Rosalyn
Evangeline, Rosalyn, and Abigail are a nice sibset, but to me, Abigail is the odd one out. I'd name their next sister either Annabelle "Anna" or Felicity "Lissy."

I've never seen the appeal of Abigail - my friend has a delightful Abigail daughter, but even she doesn't change my mind. Maybe if it shortened to Gail rather than Abby I'd like it better. Or, Gail could be a stand-alone name. Better still!
My mother had a school friend named Evangeline who was always known as Vangie. Rather than risk a repeat, I'd use Eva as a full name; also, I'm not religious so Evangeline wouldn't be appropriate anyway.
Rosalyn looks like a contemporary of Marilyn and Carolyn; I'd prefer Rosemary, Rosalind or, especially, Rosamund. Rose on its own would be a pleasant surprise as a fn in its own right.
Since the family clearly likes long names with short nns, they might consider Annabel, Cecilia, Penelope, Theresa or Victoria, to be known as Ann, Celia or (shudder!) Cissy, Penny (or Nell), Tessa or Vickie.

I prefer just Eva & Rose. Rosalyn sounds 80's and I've only ever seen it in Calvin & Hobbes (although I'd like Rosalin, Rosalind, Rosaline, etc.)
Evangeline (Eva), Rosalyn (Rose), Abigail (Abby), and...
Virginia (Ginny)
Lillian/Liliana (Lily)
Jasmine (Jazz / Jazzie)
Isabella (Isa, Bella)
Gabriella (Ella)
Penelope (Penny, Nell)
Magdalena, Margaret, Margot (Maggy, Meg)
Mariana, Mariella (Mara, Mari, Maria)

Well-suited as sister names. I’d be surprised (and pleased, I think) by the discovery of the longer names too!
Hmm... to fit with Evangeline “Eva”, Rosalyn “Rose” and Abigail “Abby” — a longer feminine name on the more common side with an L, some strong consonants, and a sweet, common, shorter nickname. Either a Christian bent or just “classic”. Not repeating an initial.
Possibilities:
Charlotte “Lottie”
Caroline “Carrie” or “Caro”
Cordelia “Delia” or “Lia” ?
Matilda “Tillie” or “Tilda”
Madeleine or Madeline “Maddie” or “Lena”/“Lina”
Penelope “Penny”
Juliette “Jules”
Less likely possibilities:
Violet “Vi”
Marigold “Mary, Marie”
Lucille “Lucy”
Colette — not sure of a nn
Lorelei — not sure of a nn
Felicity — not sure of a nn
Clementine — not sure of a nn
I could also see Josephine “Josie” or Vivienne “Vivi” working well for them.

I know a lovely Colette, nn Lettie, and I knew a Felicity, nn Lissie. Clementine would usually just be Clemmie, without the option, but maybe Tina could work?
Hi !!!
Eva and Rose are two mature and dignified names as well as Evangeline (for Rosalyn I prefer the spelling Roseline).
I can't see any reason to be shocked. None of them is strange and both Eva and Rose are natural diminutives of Evangeline and Rose.
The next sister could be named
Lucy
Laetitia
Tamara
Susan
Hope
Elizabeth
Madeleine
Hannah
Faith
I'd expect thus kind of Classic/Biblical/virtue names.
