[Opinions] Vinay
Hi !!!
Vinay is an Indian name and comes from Sanskrit meaning "humility, courtesy, modesty".
Other forms could be Binay and Binaya.
WDYTO it?
Do you like this kind of meaning?
How would you name any Vinay's siblings?

I know a Vinay, a lovely young man with severe learning difficulties and autism. It's a good name.
On a person of Indian descent I think it’s fine. If somebody from a different culture introduced themselves that way, I’d assume their name was Vinny and they were trying to be cute by putting some sort of annoying fratboy “whazzzzzzuuuuuup!!!” Spin on it.
I also agree about the wine cooler thing, but again, on a person of obvious Indian heritage you wouldn’t think “vin”=“wine” like you would with other backgrounds.
So, very nice name, but no cultural crossover on this one.

The meaning is fine, if you're really into meanings; nothing wrong with courtesy and modesty. The world could use a big helping of those things.
But I don't really care for the name. I know it's an actual name but it looks to me like some cheapo wine cooler. Like Snapple with alcohol.
