Andrew and I have certainly got our hands full! It's nice that it's a happy bustle of activity though- We've just had twin boys! Again, we didn't find out the gender ahead of time, but we did find out it was twins. Thank goodness for that! Our little angel sons were born on October 12, first Noah, at 4:33, pm, weighing 8 lbs, 3 oz, closely followed by Luca, at 4:35 pm, weighing 8 lbs, 2 oz. After Juliet, we definetly learned our lesson about being sure of the gender, (really having no idea, as last time we were sure Juliet was a boy) and picking names ahead of time, so we came up with two names for each gender about a month ahead of time. I really love the names we picked, Noah and Luca, and the middle names are great also. Andrew is happy that one got a part of his name, and I was glad to get my maiden name in there somewhere!
The boys are really wonderful. Unlike Juliet, they're awake most of the time. In the day, they're very alert, but hardly cry at all, and eat very well. The only trouble we have with them is getting them to sleep... They just seem to want to look around their new world all night long. Other than that, they are the greatest twins we could ask for. They are both completley healthy, and again- growing fast!
Juliet is doing wonderful. She has started preschool, and no surprise to us, her best subject is dashing out the door to Mama. She's a curious little monkey, and likes to learn fine, but it's hard for her to stay cooped up inside all day. Luckily she only goes three days a week for 4 hours a day. I spend Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with Juliet and the boys at home- I'm still a stay-at-home mother, and still enjoying it!
Juliet has responded great to Noah and Luca! We bought her a baby doll a week before they were born, and explained how Mama would go to the hospital, and then come home with her new baby brothers (or, then, we told her it might be sisters), who would look a lot like her dolly. When we actually brought them home, she was very curious, and had no problem with jealousy, even though we expected some. Now she loves them very much, she often asks to hold them or kiss their heads before bedtime. Her only problem is realizing how gentle she has to be- she doesn't understand why she can't jump on the bed with them!
Andrew and I are very happy with our family right now, and have decided not to plan out anything for the future, just let that come as it comes. We love our jobs, lives, each other, and our children Juliet, Noah, and Luca! (Not to mention Kitty, she's become very dear to us over the past couple years)
