Say: Hi, Eliana.
Think: Eliana is a pretty; Faith doesn't quite match in tone.
This is my son, Tristan Micaiah.
Say: Hi, Tristan.
Think: Micaiah? I love Micah, but Micaiah sounds weird to me. Still...it's kind of growing on me...
This is my daughter, Vail Hayden.
Say: Hi, Vail. Is Vail short for something?
Think: There's got to be more to it than that. And Hayden is a boy's name.
These are my twins sons, Britain Ira and Noah Oliver.
Say: Hi, guys.
Think: Britain? Is this a kid or a country? And please, at least give him a strong, pretty normal middle name to fall back on. Noah Oliver is nice, though.
This is my daughter, Emma Tanner.
Say: Hi, Emma.
Think: Emma is pretty ordinary and bland; too bad they didn't give her a strong, interesting middle name to use if she wanted to--Tanner is a surname or a boy's name.
This is my daughter, Charlotte Adelaide.
Say: Hi, Charlotte.
Think: Charlotte is pretty, though rather bland in my opinion. Charlotte Adelaide sounds like an old lady. Adelaide would be pretty with a more interesting and less "old-ladyish" first name. Charley would be a fun nickname, but it sounds silly with Adelaide.
This is my son, Zachariah London.
Say: Hi, Zach.
Think: Zachary is great, but they just had to keep going one more syllable, didn't they? Can't think of much that sounds good following Zachariah (it's just too long already), but London certainly isn't the best.
This is my son, Anakin Asa.
Say: Hi, Ani.
Think: Oops, probably just mortally offended the kid, but you can't avoid that association (Was "Annie" not a girl's name in the Star Wars universe?). Cue Imperial March and heavy breathing (hope the kid never has asthma).
