[Opinions] BA- worth a read
Reuben and Raven welcomed a boy, Gideon Exodus. Big sister is November Rain (1).
And... go!

November is a GP of mine, and Rain is alright. I like the sound of the combo, but it's a bit too much for me to use IRL.
I like both Gideon and Exodus (in a GP way) too. You don't really use your middle name, so I don't care as much if it's out there.
I've seen worse.

Hi !!!
I LOVE November Rain!!!! The song is beautiful, sweet, romantic and very touching! Naming a child after it is wonderful also because both names are in the current trend of wordy/nature names. It's perfect!
Gideon is boring and dumb to my ears. Exodus is interesting but paired with another Biblical name is too much.
I would pair it with a more neutral name like..
Arthur Exodus
Stephen Exodus
Robert Exodus
Alan Exodus
...something like that.

A fn that starts with No, and a fn that shortens to Giddy ... they must have worked long and hard to achieve those results. Exodus and Rain will not be particularly public, so they'll pass, but only just.
Rain really does not do it for me, however anyone spells it, though Rein and Reign are too stupid even to be amusing. But our neighbouring country, Botswana, is semi-desert and horribly arid, and the word for 'rain' in the local language is used for their currency (the Pula) and as a given name. That makes sense to me: they are right to value it so highly. But in places where one gets cold, wet days for weeks on end ... not so much.

Gideon is nice. Exodus is not.
November Rain is terrible.

Gideon Exodus: Gideon, go. Get outta here. Scram. Make an exodus.
November Rain was this annoying Guns n Roses song that was very popular about 30 years ago. It was boring and it lasted for what seemed like an hour. About like actual November rain, which also tends to be cold and miserable.

Didn't know about the song! Thanks - I'll remember to avoid it ...
I agree with queenv. Don't avoid it! It's a beautiful song. Even if you're not into rock, it's definitely worth listening to.
I advise not to avoid it. It's a great song, one of my favorites.
Oh dear! How to choose between the opinions of two of the people on these boards that I always take seriously (and with a smile)?? Maybe I'll listen to just enough to make my own mind up, and then go on or ... not!
Exodus, wow. I don't know what to say about that. I wish it didn't remind me of Exodius (anime, and a guy I dislike who likes it) and refugees.
I kind of like Gideon and November as a sibset (though November Rain is a bit much). Reuben and Raven are interesting together, too.
