I named a big stuffed lion Sukey when I was a kid (probably because of the nursery rhyme Anneza mentioned, now that I think of it). I'm fond of it because of that.
I don't perceive much difference between the spellings.
For a human, I like it more than Sue / Suzy / Suzie, at least, but I'd prefer Suzanne.
