I say CASS-ee-ah.

I'd automatically assume CASS-ee-ah. But then Marcia is MAR-shah, so it would stand to reason that Cassia could be CASH-ah, which makes me think of cashing a check (cash-a-check, lol). Cassia (maybe even cah-SEE-ah?) with the see-ah at the end pronounced is prettier, imo.

I say cass-ee-ah, only because my sister's name is Cassandra and I find it odd to see two 's's pronounced as an 'sh'. It makes no sense to me.

CASH-uh just doesn't come naturally to me, and I've only heard the herb said CASS-ee-uh...Not that it's a word you often hear. I suspect it's a transatlantic difference.

Actually I think CASH-uh sounds nicer. I love Sasha, Dasha, that type of thing. But I couldn't get used to it spelt Cassia, and Casha isn't an option for me, since it's too much like "cash".

The Cassia I know pronounces it KASS-ee-uh.

My initial reaction is KASH-uh, because I associate Cassia with Cassius (KASH-us) as in Cassius Clay. However, I've never met a Cassia in real life so if I was corrected and told KA-see-uh I wouldn't find that pronunciation odd.

I'm guessing.....

I say CASH-uh, too, and always have. I dislike the other pronunciations--they sound odd to me.
