[Opinions] hard to tell ...
in reply to a message by molly
If anything they do is based on actual convictions, or even if they have convictions. The whole bunch is just so incredibly shallow and self-promoting that it seems like everything they do or say is a calculated action to get/keep publicity or stir controversy. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

One of Kanye's albums was titled "Yeezus". I think they do believe in God, but it's probably for self-serving reasons. Which, to be fair, is why a lot of people believe in God. IDK.

Yeezus is his comparison to him and Jesus (Combining his nickname Yeezy and Jesus). It’s so self aggrandizing. Honestly, I think he has a mental illness (he had a breakdown a few years back) and part of it is religious delusion. I think he thinks of himself as a modern day Jesus, which is so blatantly untrue. Prior to his diagnosis I thought he was an egotistical prick, but now I kind of feel bad for him. He is almost definitely a psychopath.

I don't know about psychopath ...But I do think he's been allowed to think he's somehow above everybody else most of his life; his mother probably started it, and then once he got into music and whatnot, his hangers-on and fans took up where she left off. And he's paired up with somebody who has had much the same kind of life, except she doesn't have any actual talent; at least Kanye has his music. Kim doesn't have any talent except for "being famous for being famous." They're actually a perfect match. (Probably why they've stayed together this long while her sisters keep breaking up with their men one after the other.)

No, you're right. Psychopath wasn't the right thing to say. He definitely has narcissistic and histrionic personality disorders with religious delusions. He had a mental crisis a few years back. Now he is the head of his own cult, "Sunday Service," calls himself a prophet, and compares himself to Jesus. On one hand, he's incredibly annoying, and on the other hand I feel bad that he obviously has mental health issues. What bothers me most is that Kim and her family seem to indulge him in his ideology.

I was only saying that *he* believes he is religious, whatever that means, for him. Can't say whether or not he's a psychopath, I don't really follow him.
