I think Genna would be mispronounced.
I think Jenna is nicknamey, dated and insubstantial. The two most famous namesakes I think of immediately are Jenna Marbles, which is mostly positive, and Jenna Jameson, which is so, so not. If you haven’t heard of her, I guarantee most of the men you know will have. And she’s not somebody you want to remind a man about when you’re talking about your sweet, innocent daughter. On her Wikipedia page it says she “ has been called the world's most famous adult entertainment performer’ and ‘The Queen of Porn’”.
