I find it uninspiring. Bright vowel sound, dull consonant pattern. I've known several female Haydens - currently have a spunky and dynamic teenage (female) student with this name.

I love the later musical compositions of composer "Joseph Hayden". Whether a last name, middle name or first--I find this to be a joyful name for either gender. Historical writings inform us that he was often referred to as "Haydn" - as though his first name; similar historical references reveal him to have been a kind & humble person.

I see I'm in the minority here. I love Hayden as a girl's name. I prefer Haydn for a boy.

I like Hayden for a boy, but I wouldn’t actually use it because of the whole -ayden trend.

Trendy, surnamey and used to death. Bad enough on a boy, absolutely awful on a girl.

It sounds completely masculine to me.

I really don't like it as it fits right into that dreaded 'aiden/Aidan/Ayden' nightmare of a trend, which thankfully seems to be fading out, at least for the most part.
I think Hayden is especially awful on a girl. A complete sore eye. At least on a boy it makes sense.

I think it’s ok.
I like it much more for a Boy.
