Estelle is currently one of my Top favourite names.
I love the meaning and the fact that it is an Old French elaborated from Stella.
It is elegant and ageless in my opinion. Romantic but dignified for any kind of child, girl or woman.
Then its beauty is clarified by the fact that a princess, Estelle of Sweden, was given this name! ❤️

Estelle has a lovely meaning, but I don't like the sound. For some reason the name feels rather weak and elderly to me. I prefer Esther, Estrella, or Stella.

I can't look at, or think of, Estelle without thinking of my Uncle Estelle. I knew him (vaguely) as a child, but often heard references to him.
Anyway, his name was pronounced ES-tul. I have no idea why he was given this name. His many brothers had typically masculine names (for the times).
So I really can't give you an opinion of Estelle as it typically is used, for a girl. But I thought the use of Estelle for a boy/man might be interesting.
