I like it a lot. It has a nice sound, and I like the biblical story. I think it works equally well as a first and middle name. I don't like the nicknames Jon and Jonny.I like:
Jonathan David
Jonathan Felix
Jonathan Horace
Jonathan Victor
Victor Jonathan

I like it, it can go without a nickname? Jonathan Victor is very handsome.

Jonathan has been on and off my Top 10 for a long time. I go back and forth on whether I prefer Jonathan or Nathaniel (right now I'm in a Nathaniel phase). Only once has it ever appeared in my Top 10 as a middle name: Isaac Jonathan. Some combo ideas:Jonathan Elias
Jonathan Silas
Jonathan Weston
Jonathan Bennett
Jonathan Harris
Jonathan Elliott
Jonathan Raphael
Jonathan Roland
Jonathan David (my favorite of the ones you posted)
Jonathan Leland
Jonathan Asa
Jonathan Perry
Jonathan Trent
Jonathan Everett
Jonathan Woodrow

I prefer Jon on it's own. I don't like Jonathan used without a nickname.Jonathan David & Peter Jonathan sound the best to me.

I love Jonathan as a first name. Jonathan David was actually on my short list for a long, long time. I still love it but won't get to use it IRL because our first DS's middle name is John.

I love Jonathan, especially as a first name. I like Jonathan David and Jonathan Paul best among the combos.

Jonathan is a very nice name and I'd consider using it. I think I like it better in the first name slot. Jonathan Paul is very, very nice.
Julian Jonathan sounds just terrible. Jonathan Jacob makes me think of John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt.
