Since I live in Tennessee, it seems a little silly (as does Memphis), but I do like the sound of it. I ike Tenny as a NN.
I would rather hear it on a girl though it's pretty unisex.
It would go without a MN because otherwise it just sounds like you're naming a person from the state of TN (Tennessee Claire, a girl named Claire from TN).

I've always really liked it, not sure why.
Unisex, since I've mainly only heard it used for Tennessee Claflin and Tennessee Williams.

I don’t like it but I think it sounds better for a boy. But honestly, place names can work either way.

I don't really like state names in general, but Tennessee I don't like at all as a person name. It's better for a boy, I think they'd be slightly less susceptible to'the only ten I see' jokes. It absolutely needs a middle name, so that they have the choice to go by it instead of Tennessee.

I think that Tennessee is unisex and it doesn't need any MN as it is too long.
If you want a MN I suggest a one-syllable name.

As it is a very specific geographical name I think that it should be used only if parents have special ties with it.
It is not my case.
I much prefer Tessa, Tansy (f) and Tennyson (b)
ETA Liar is actually Lear .. it was a typo.

It’s okay. I wouldn’t use it for myself but it doesn’t annoy me like a lot of names do.
