[Opinions] Naomi
Lately I've fallen in love with the name Naomi. It's one of the very few names that ends in an EE sound without sounding cutesy or babyish. My questions:
What do you think of Naomi? Is the fact that Naomi is "I moan" backwards a concern to you?Any good middle names? Someone on another board has a daughter named Naomi Soleil (so-LAY) and I though that was gorgeous. Thanks a lot!

I love Naomi. I wouldn't let the "I moan" thing keep you from using it if you love it. I often forget about it myself. :b BTW, it's also one of the few "-ee" ending names I love, too. ~Heather~

Naomi is a gorgeous name. Though I don't see why a name ending in the ee-sound should be babyish, maybe an American thing. And I've heard of people worrying about unfortunate rhymes, but do children really think about what others name spell backwards?"But it’s all right now.
I learned my lesson well.

I never used to care for it, but it's grown on me lately. I think it sounds pretty. I don't think of 'I moan' when I see it at all. I'm terrible at combos..Naomi Claire
Naomi Juliet
Naomi Carys
Naomi Gabrielle
Naomi Jacqueline
Naomi Gwendolen
Naomi Skye
Naomi Celeste

Despite having two Naomi's in my class all the way through primary school, I can honestly say that not one child in the class ever noticed that it spells 'I moan' backwards!
I love Naomi Soleil, also like Naomi Ruth or Naomi Jane.

Thanks!Naomi Ruth and Naomi Jane are both stunning!

Just a note: in the Old Testament, Naomi and Ruth are in the same story (Naomi is Ruth's mother-in-law). So naming someone Naomi Ruth seems weird to me, like naming someone Rachel Leah... I don't know if other people pay attenion to this -- so maybe it doesn't matter -- but it jumps out at me (not in a good way)

I think Naomi is really pretty. Never thought of the "I moan" thing even once. I wonder if anyone would pick up on that.Edited to add that I love the suggestions of Naomi Susanna, Naomi Juliet and Naomi Charlotte. Naomi Soleil is pretty too.
