[Opinions] Afanen
Pr. Av-ah-nenReally digging this name at the moment. Here are my thoughts about it:
- Welsh for raspberry (it's cute, maybe a bit too cutesy? I guess could be associated with 'blowing a raspberry' as well)
- A less common approach if you like the name Savannah (pronounced similar)WDYT?

While I prefer the similar sounding Avalon (which also has a fruit meaning), Afanen is cute. I also like Malina, which means raspberry in Polish.

Sounds like a nice name. I usually like Welsh names, along with Irish names.Unlike Saoirse and Siobhan though, I don't know if Afanen would be easy to navigate in the U.S. But you never know; it could catch on. I know I'd use it for a little girl myself.

In Welsh, I think Afanen is very pretty. Sadly, I don't think it works outside of Welsh-speaking (or even Welsh-familiar) areas, because people would likely read it off as uh-FAN-in, which takes the charm away.
