I love the gemstone, but it’s clunky as a name.

Second. I do like the word, but as a name I don't think it will go.
What is it about the name you like? The Tur- prefix or the -quoise suffix?

Mostly the -quoise suffix

Hm unfortunately other than Turquoise, the only other word with that suffix is "Dacquoise"
I tried thinking of alternatives but the best I could muster is "Marquoise"... there's "Rejoice" that's similar though I can't think of any decent replacements
