Margaret is what I call a "handsome" name. I don't find it pretty, however, I do love several of its nns and would consider it as a mn (and have considered it as a mn with my youngest) for a dd. My mother was named
Margaret Ellen Mae ("
Margie"). The nns I like best are
Meg and
Daisy. I've even considered
Marguerite Sophie with the nn
Daisy although I'm not sure I'd actually go through with that.
Margaret Pearl is sweetly old fashioned and very fitting due to the meaning.
Your words reveal who you think you are, but your actions prove who you really are.
