As a Charlotte, I like the nickname, but prefer Lotty myself. I'm not much of a nickname person so I won't enforce one on somebody, and other's are free to give me a nickname (a common one was Shaz / Shazzo or Shar-Lotty. A friend's mum used to call me Lotty Duncan). As a teenager/preteen though I'd stylise Lotty and make twirly designs with the Y which I enjoyed doing
