AmaryllisHow whimsical; I’ve never had a sighting of it used on a person in real life. It’s beautiful.

AmaryllisI don't like any feminine names with the 'anth' sound. I like Amarante at least as much as Amaryllis, though.

AmaryllisAmarantha just feels longer than I like, with all those a's, and it reminds me too much of Samantha, doesn't seem as distinctive as Amaryllis.

AmaranthaLove it's meaning and magnanimous sound. Though I prefer Amaranth, sounds more youthful.

I enjoy both. I think most folks would deem Amaryllis the more usable due to familiarity with flower names being used as given names. I also think it looks and sounds like its meaning, which is fun. However, I’m drawn to the softness of Amarantha, similar to that of Samantha or Martha, as well as to its “unfading” meaning.
