Asa Gods and Shakespeare's Shylock
"Heim" definatly means "Home" and comes from old scandinavian/german.
e.g. Muspellheim (home of light and heat) and Niflheim (home of dark and cold)
If "Shy" is also supposed to come from something scandinavian/german I have no idea what it should be. It still could however.
In todays english "Shy" generally means "timid" or "in lack off", but if shy holds this meaning in this case I am not sure of.
I wonder however if that "Shy" could be a prefix coming from the name shylock? In Shakespeare's play "The Merchant of Venice" the jewish merchant is named Shylock. But I do not know what his name means.
Else the name should mean something like: Timid home

You would bring a smile to our face if you might give us some more background information -- such as Shyheim's ethnic origin.

Aw, gawsh...! :) (Nanaea shuffles her feet in embarrassment and does her Goofy laugh)
Oh, never mind. I see now that the original Shyheim is a rapster...
Correction: "rapper", & found your meaning...
The name "Shyheim" could be viewed as being a composite name of Germanic origin.
"Shy" forms the first part of many surnames, and comes from "Scheier" or "Scheiee", meaning: "one who came form the forest place".
"Heim" means "home" in German.
So, putting both elements together, the name "Shyheim" could conceivably mean: "one who comes from the home in the forest".

Ahh so that was what Shy meant
I wonder if Shylock then means
The lock which came from the forest.
I mean lock like in lock ness

I think you're thinking of Loch (pronounced like lock in languages that don't have a "hard H" sound (as in the name Bach)). It means "lake" in Scottish and I think in Irish Gaelic, too, but that I'm not sure. Have to access my trusty English-Irish dictionary for that.

The Irish version is "lough".

Ups I was a bit too hasty there perhaps :)
