Taking an uncommon, male name from mythology and use it for a female is frustrating enough. Having said name rhyme with a very unfortunate English word is worse.

I often wonder if people are even aware of the history of names that they use. I know someone who named her son Echo and it drives me crazy. I understand that I'm a bit militant about these things but still.
