I don't like it as a nickname, much less on its own. Of all the nicknames I can't imagine putting on a birth certificate, Sissy is the one I most can't imagine.
I know it can be a nickname for Cecilia and a few others, but didn't it start out as what a child would call his or her sister? That makes it seem even dumber.
