I wouldn't even like it as a nickname. It's not pretty, a little... harsh? and of course there's the connotations of weakness or whining.
On its own? Unbearable. I'd seriously question the judgement of anyone who gave it to an actual child. And while it's awful at any age, it would be impossible to take seriously on an adult.
