I've always hated it and Liz and it's the main reason I never would have used Elizabeth, although I do like Elizabeth. Sure you can establish a different nickname, but you never know if your Elizabeth is going to decide at some point she wants to be called Liz or Lizzie. I just think "Liz" is a very unattractive syllable....which is now making me question why I like Elizabeth since that syllable is contained within it. As a matter of fact, I hate Beth too, so why do I like Elizabeth?
