Your new children are 3 year old twins Ross Stuart and Mairead Linda.
Ross and Mairead came into care when they were newborn babies as their mother, a severly disabled young person was not capable of looking after two newborn babies, they were kept in foster care in the hope they could be reunited with their mother when they were a bit older, but unfortunatly this has not been able to happen, thus these two delightful twins are in need of adoption.
Both Ross and Mairead have striking red hair and will soon get used to life in a home.
Please tell us how Ross and Mairead have settled in.

Congratualtions Eden and Joshua!
Your new children are 6 year old Evander 3 year old twins Flora and Ishbel and 2 month old Hamish.
These siblings were taken into care when Evander was caught stealing food and their mother admitted she couldn't afford to clothe and feed them and wanted them put up for adoption.
The twins and Hamish are developmentally normal but it is thought that Evander had ADHD.

Congratulations Laura and Luke!
your new children are 5 year old twin brothers Ross Neil and Patrick (Paddy) Ronald. Paddy was rushed to intnsive care last year when he accidently ate some ecstaty tablets left lying around by his drug addited mother. They were subsequently taken into care after finding they lived in an unsafe home enironment. Paddy is epilectic.
9 month old Bridget Donella was left at the doors of A&E after her mother could no longer care for her. A note was in the basket explaining she wanted Bridget to have a better life than the one she could her. Bridget is developmentally normal.

Ruairidh and Teasag have been in and out of care since their 15 year old mother left them at the hospital 10 years ago. after some unsuccessful attempts at long term fostering the pair we believe they are now ready for adoption.
the twins have mild learning difficulties and Teasag has severe asthma but other than that all they need is a loving stable home that they can all their own.

Shona and Morag were found homeless wondering the dangerous streets of Glasgow after being thrown out by their violent stepfather. The pair did not want to return home so are up for adoption. Both Shona and Morag are developmentally fine but Shona is used to playing mother to Morag so will need a lot of time and persuasion to let someone else care for her little sister so she can be a child again.

The brothers came into care When Archie's reception teacher voiced her concerns about the bruises on Archie's body. Social services found that their father was violent towards the boys and their mother but she was unwilling to leave him. It was decided that the best thing for the brothers would be to place them up for adoption. Although Archie, Callum and Scott are very timid and nervous at first they will soon show their true colours as all three are lively healthy little boys who need firm but supportive boundaries.

Your new children are 4 year old twins Eilidh Christina and Aoife Aileas, 2 year old Kenna Effie and 4 month old Lindsay Rhona.
Eilidh, Aoife, Kenna and Lindsay were found 2 months ago when the police did a drugs bust on their parents house. The four sisters were found cowering in a dark room alone. Your new children are 3 year old Cailean Duncan and 18 month old Douglas Craig.
These two brothers are all that is left of there family when their car crashed killing their mother, father and two older sisters. As the pair were in the back they were miraculously saved from the worse of the impact. Both are developmentally normal but Cailean is currently in a wheelchair as a result of the crash, it is hoped with physiotherapy that he will soon walk again.

Katriona has Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and moderate learning difficulties.

Emma is enjoying having some more children around the house, since Drew and I couldn't have any more. The kids are still adjusting to us, six months after the adoption was finalised. Donald, 9, is a huge help with his younger siblings. He likes to take care of them more than anything and sometimes doesn't let us go near them. Eoghan, now six, really warmed up to Emma. He is thriving in his small first grade class and we hope he'll continue to do well. For Katriona, we are seeking medical help. Neither Drew nor I know anything about foetal Alcohol Syndrome, so we're hoping the doctors can give us more information. We enrolled Katriona in a HeadStart program that is sort of like Early Intervention. Since we already know she'll have learning difficulties, we want to give her as much help and support as possible.

Your new children are 11 year old Alasdair Iain, 10 year old Elspeth Islay, 7 year old twins Ewan Seamus and Brodie Cameron and 5 year old Skye Mona.
The siblings came into care when it was found their parents could not cope with all the children plus the twins who both have downs syndrome. They have limited contact with their birth mother and none with their father, although it will be considered to stop this contact once Alasdair, Elspeth, Ewan, Brodie and Skye are adopted as it causes a lot of distress to the children.
