I like Gideon. It's cool-sounding, fun, distinct. What does it mean? Feller/hewer. That's kind of an interesting meaning.
I think it has some strong cultural overtones - if not religious, then at least retrospective. Very grounded in the specific tradition of a culture that's into the old testament. Like Silas? But less overt than Silas, more humble and less extremist.
