It’s... a creative tribute to the parents, to say the least. To say the most, the names are absolutely terrible. I don’t even know how to pronounce them.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I can't appreciate the visual. Shawnisy bothers me a lot less. The -ay makes me really want to emphasize the long A. Shawnie-Leigh would actually be kind of adorable, but Shawneeleigh looks like the emphasis falls on the middle syllable. I'm not sure how much other people experience writing that way though.

Shawnisay sounds like it could’ve also been inspired by the last name Shaughnessy (I’ve seen this used as a fn). It’s definitely different.

Shawneeleigh sounds cute but the spelling hurts my feelings. Shawnee-Leigh or Shawnee Leigh looks better to me.

Shawnisay isn't too bad, as invented names / creative spellings go.
I don't like the "say" at the end, though, it makes me think "Shawni say ___"
Shanisée would have a bit more appeal imo. Why not go all out.
Shawneeleigh, while it seemed cute next to the parents' names, is tougher than shoe leather. But, she could go by Shawn or Shawnee.

Shawneeleigh isn't the worst: it could have been Shawneighlee or Shawneelee or ever Shawneighleigh.

Hard to say which one is more atrocious.

Obviously people are going to reply and say how awful and terrible they both are. I’ll just say the names clearly meant something to the parents and I think the sentiment behind them is sweet. Shaughnessy could be a cool name.
