Don’t like Calico. Dream would serve better as a middle name. I’d pair it with a strong or masculine first name as not too make it all too frilly of a name.

I don’t really like either of them, sorry. Doesn’t Aisling mean “dream”? And there are many names, like Callisto and Calypso, that sound like Calico but are better.

I have actually heard of both: Calico was a younger member of a large family. Dream was a member of a commune.

Calico sounds like a good name for a cat or a piece of material. I prefer Calliope.
Dream is very abrupt sounding even though it has an ethereal vibe. I wouldn’t use it as a first name and as a middle name it would be a little phrase-y especially if the first name was wordy as well. I prefer Reverie or Remembrance.

If Calico wasn't a coloration seen in pets (I have a very pretty calico goldfish) or a fabric, it would be on my list. I haven't thought about it before, but it's totally my style. I love -o names, Juno and Margot are on my would-use-in-real-life list and I have others on my personal name list. And I really like the nickname Cally.

Dream is a pretty word, but I think we're conditioned to find it nice because of what it means. Do you remember Dreama, from Sabrina the Teenage Witch? I think I'd prefer that, or Dreamer.

Um, Dream has been growing on me. It seems in the same vein as some other names I like, ex Prosper and Hope.

I like Calico in the way that I like Corduroy and Denim. Ultimately, I wouldn't use it more because it reminds me of cats than because it's a fabric. I wouldn't want to be named it, same way I wouldn't want to be named Cameo or Tabby.

They're awful; they don't sound at all like names for people. Not even names for pets. Calico ought to sound like a cat's name, but it doesn't. I have known of several people with calico looking cats that they just named Callie.

I wouldn't use either. I love Calico how it looks, sounds and I love calico cats. But its too associated with cats, and I woulsd actually use Kitty as a full name. Dream is a nice word and name but rapper Blac Chyna / Kardashians ruined it for me.

No, I think they're both silly. Aside from the silliness, I really don't like names that end in O anyway, with the exception of Leo, and I don't think Dream has a nice sound.
