[Opinions] Re: New Celeb Babies!
in reply to a message by Ora
Shaquille O'Neal and his wife Shaunie Nelson just had a baby girl: Me'Arah Sanaa O'Neal. Their other children are Shareef (6), Shaqir (3), and daughter Amirah (2), plus two children from previous relationships, Shaq's daughter Taahira (9) and Shaunie's son Myles (8). --
Wow, well at least the name Myles is nice. :-/ The others make me almost yearn for Apple and Pilot Inspektor, though.

Then, Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa just had their own little girl (same day as Shaq! lol), Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant. They also have a 3 y.o daughter Natalia. --
Very Italian....but they're not Italian, right? (maybe his wife is part Italian? I'm hoping)

Well according to IMDb.com...(m)Vanessa is apparently half-Italian, half-Puerto Rican, and Kobe spent eight years in Italy during childhood and is fluent in Italian.

That is SO cool. Aside from the fact I'm not a Kobe fan but, whatever.

No, I think she's half Latina (Mexican, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan - I really have no idea)... but even if she wasn't, what's wrong with her using Gianna?I don't look at all Italian and I love that name and would use it myself. People who aren't Irish use Irish names all the time, so Italian names should be fair game as well.

I'm weird about things like that, I suppose. If it were just Gianna and the person wasn't Italian/Spanish at all, then that's "ok" to me. But once you start adding in Natalia, Vicente, Eduardo, etc. That would be weird to me. Guess it's just me, lol. :b
