I prefer the spelling "
Alexei" which I find to be the most intuitive.
I like this name but it is one of my least favorite Russian names. I love how it looks but dislike the sound. The diminutive "
Alyosha" is adorable.
I did not think of
Alexa at all. I don't think that would be a problem.
I thought of
Amari,
Giovanni,
Gianni,
Avi,
Anani,
Andrei,
Nikolai,
Valery,
Anton,
Vasili,
Roman,
Rodion,
Raphael,
Casimir,
Agustin,
Alfonso,
Alistair,
Valentin,
Cyril,
Natan,
Leo,
Antoine, and
Oscar.
Do you like
Alexander? You could use
Alexei and
Alex as diminutives.
