[Opinions] Edward and Edmund
I know these aren’t the most exciting names to talk about, but what do you think of them? Edward is very popular here and Edmund is much less used, so perhaps Edmund is the one to go for. Feel free to suggest other names and middle name options. Thank you! :)

What about some other Anglo-Saxon names Edwulf or Edric?

Edward is ok, but Edmund is super handsome. Edgar and Edwin are both really handsome imo too.

I actually really like Edward. I also have a soft spot for Edmond since being obsessed with The Count of Monte Cristo as a teen. Edmund reminds me of Edmund Pevensie from Narnia. I don’t love it as much as Edward but I think it could grow on me.Edward James and Edward Charles are probably my favourite combos. They’re very classic but I like that.

I agree Edmund feels fresher.

Edward is really dated to me, while Edmund just looks old-fashioned but less common. So, I prefer Edmund. A good combo I can think of is Edmund Ralph.

They're both nice, practical names but if I had to choose between, I'd pick Edmund. It's less common and has an almost "mysterious vibe" to it. Plus I prefer the ending slightly more than Edward.

I'm actually loving all the Ed- names lately. Even Edward, which is historically more popular, sounds pretty fresh these days to my ear. But I also adore Edmund, Edgar and Edwin. You can't go wrong with any of these.

I like Edmund of the two, and have always thought Edmund Hugh would be a handsome name. That said, I'm more likely to use it as a middle, actually. Not as crazy about Edward, even though it's far more common / known. I don't like the "word" part in someone's name.

I love Edmund. I like Edward well enough, but something about it just doesn't appeal as much.

I prefer the softer sound of Edmund. Edward has always felt clunky to me.

I prefer Edmund. Edward is really popular at the moment, especially nn Ted/Teddy. My son goes to nursery with brothers called James and Edmund.

I love the name Edward! I especially love the nickname Eddie, and it has been going out of style where I live. I love Edmund also.
