WDYT?
Do you like it more on a boy or a girl. I like it on both. But I prefer it more on a boy.
My combos are
Carter Josiah

Carter Eli
Carter Joel
Carter AveryCarter Emery
Carter Avery
Carter Jane

I love it but...... it's so harsh that I struggle to imagine it on a baby or toddler. I actually like it enough to use it on a boy IRL but it would have to be a middle as it's just too harsh and heavy as a first. I've never heard of it as a girls' name but I'm not a fan.I like Carter Thomas and Carter Eli. I've used Carter Samuel as a combo before when I've mucked around with it as a FN.

I like it on a boy, it's on my long list. I like it in kind of a GP way on a girl, like if someone else did it, I'd be secretly pretty awed.Carter Avery and Carter Emery are fairly unisex.I like Carter Thomas and Carter Elijah.I prefer it in my British accent than in my husband's American (Bostonian) one, hence why we could never use it, even if he liked it.

I like it, although not nearly to the extent that I used to. That said, I still think it's a fairly decent, tolerable name but I understand why others might not care for it. A cousin of mine actually has a son named this, (One of my aunt's many grandchildren) so naturally he initially springs to mind. And I think the name has suited him just fine. (: As a given name, I find it plenty ridiculous on a girl (same goes for Emery) and would only lead to unnecessary confusion.

I think it's too surname-y. It has similar vibes to Caleb, and I find it completely masculine.

Don't like it, especially for a girl

Dislike it on both genders. It honestly just looks like another her trendy surname-name for boys. For girls? It’s ridiculous. Plus, I know a very annoying kid named Carter so the name has no real appeal to me.

I love it! From your list, I like Carter Joshua and Carter Elijah. (I was just thinking about that one!)

This is my baby cousin's name. His name is Carter George, which I think is adorable. He was named after Joe Carter the baseball player who won Toronto the '93 World Series. Even though it is a last name and should be unisex, it feels masculine to me. Not sure why! From your list, Carter Joshua is my favourite I think. Carter Thomas is cute too.
