[Opinions] Perpetua (edit)
EDIT: Oops, I just realized I posted about Perpetua back in November! So sorry for the repetition. Feel free to respond if your opinion has changed since then or if you didn't respond to the first post. :)
Am I the only one who admires this rarefied beauty? I acknowledge that it's one letter away from being an adjective and that it begins with "perp" (as in "perpetrator"), but the former is one of the reasons why I love it, and the latter doesn't bother me because "perpetual" supersedes "perp(etrator)" as an association for me.
As for nicknames, I think I like Peppy and Eppie the most. :)
Here are some combos for you to consider, if you please:

I like it!
The idea behind it depresses me a bit. Also it makes me think long-winded. I don't think of "perp" at all.
It's certainly unwieldy, but it has some austere nun who composes choir music charm. Peppy is sweet.
“Austere nun who composes choir music” is one of my favorite evocations!!!
I don't like it
I think it’s a lovely name for a font, and while the rare bearer might manage to pull it off evocatively, I’d consider it too nerdy otherwise.
It reminds me of Bridget Jones's super annoying co-worker. "Most of the time I want to staple things to her head" - quote from the film, by Bridget. I think it sounds pretentious and it is one of the few names I'd actually be a bit embarrassed introducing myself with (no offense, just my personal opinion). I find it to be ridiculous sounding. Same with Eppie (it also reminds me of Epstein which is horrible) and Peppy (Pepsi, pee pee). Agnes and Alice are very nice. I also like Ottoline.
I know a Perpetua. She’s Irish and in her late fifties. She shortens it to Pet.
Pet is so cute!!
