[Opinions] Castile for a boy
Castile (prn cass-STEEL) has been on my mind lately. I thought Castiel was prn this way and was disappointed when it wasn't, but I actually now think I like the Castile spelling better. Anyway, Castile strikes me as being a very handsome and intellectual name. WDYT?

Way, way too soapy.

I just think of the region in Spain. It doesn't feel very namey to me.

I know it as a last name, when spelled Casteel, pronounced the same way. Castile is handsome, perhaps because of the association I have with the last name.

Oh, I like the sound of it. It is less awkward than Castiel and feels regal thanks to the 'castle' meaning.I prefer Castille a bit more though, just to get away from the 'castile soap' association and because the pronunciation is more obvious.

Castile soapThat's litterly the only thing that comes to mind, which I pronounce interchangeably, usually as 'Cas-ty-uhl' It's strange to see it as a name. I don't like it.
As for 'Castiel', I immediately go for the 3 syllable pronunciation, thanks to the tv series, Supernatural. (: I think it sounds alot nicer. I prefer the soft 'El' sound as opposed to 'STEEL' which I personally find harsh.
