After I figured out what they were actually saying, I spent the whole rest of the movie thinking she had the stupidest name. So much so that it took me out of the story every time the mother said it. It’s easily misheard or misunderstood, there would be constant spelling issues, and it’s unwieldy in a way that three-syllable names usually aren’t. There aren’t any good nicknames, either. Will, Willy and Dene are all deeply unattractive.
