I like it, but I don’t think I have the guts to use it.

I love the meaning. "Earth mother." Very pagan and Greek.

I really like Demetria. I think it has a certain mystique and elegance to it. I like the association with the goddess Demeter, since I'd be more willing to name a daughter Demetria (and potentially use the nn Demi) than I would to name her Demeter. But I think it's a cool association. I think it would be cute on a child (especially as Demi), but would also be a really great, strong name on an adult woman.

It sounds... kind of evil. Like if a character was introduced as Demetria, I'd think she was going to be an antagonist. So, really dark and overly ornate and also, to me, really ugly.

My former colleague is (a) Greek and (b) lectures in ancient Greek; her name is Demetra without the i, and I prefer it without ever wanting to use it IRL.

I think Demetria is quite pretty. The nickname Demi is also cute without being infantile (though I do recognize it means "half" in French).

I love it. It's so dark and frilly. I like the nickname Demi, though two celebs with that name would make me pause in using it. I'm not sure what other nicknames you could get from it that I actually like.

I think it's pretty. Also Demetra, pronounced De-MEE-tra. I went to school with a Demetra.
