[Opinions] Diana
Wdyt? I've always liked it. It is classic and grows well. I do not like nn Di.
It seems unpopular, which scores huge points, but I would have to fall in love with it to use it. 3 syllables is just so much to say and I wouldn't want to shorten it.

I love Diana! It has always been one of my favorites. It’s so classic and timeless.
I love, love this name. Too bad it's ruined for me. I like it with the nn Dani, but I'm biased because my mother was a Diane nn Danie.
I'm in the same camp as you: I love the full name Diana, but what has kept me from it in the past is the possible nickname Di (it sounds like you're telling someone to go die). That said, I've met a few Dianas my age and none of them have used the Di nickname, so perhaps it's fading out of use.
Diana isn't difficult to say on an everyday basis. I also have a three-syllable name that doesn't get shortened (Erica).

Once you get used to saying them regularly, three syllables honestly don't seem like such a lot to say. It's a lovely name. I wouldn't shorten it either.
Love it! Would definitely use it.
its ok, I dont like nn Di though
I love Diana but my worry is everyone would think I used it after the Princess.
Diana could be Dee or Ana if she thought Diana in full is too cumbersome, although I'm sure there are many who don't use a nickname.

My feelings too. I'd only use it as a mn, to avoid Di. And I'd never use Diane!
I prefer it over Diane.
