[Opinions] Vigo
What do you think of the name Vigo? It is pronounced as VEE-go.
Francis Vigo was a Sardinian who aided American forces during the Revolutionary War. He is possibly most famous for helping George Rogers Clark.Between Vigo, Milo, and Zeno which do you like best?Edited to add: Do you prefer the Viggo or Vigo spelling?

I dislike it. Milo and Zeno are far better. Viggo is awful.

Vigo isn't bad, but the spelling Viggo is absolutely atrocious. In my opinion, it looks like claws stretching towards the Vi part. I have no qualms about using it, below is my rated order of the three names you gave:1. Zeno
2. Vigo
3. Milo

I like Vigo the most, then Milo, than Zeno. I also prefer Vigo, I guess since Viggo looks like a misspelling to me. It's a handsome name.

I'm a fan of Viggo with the double Gs. It may be because of Viggo Mortensen. He is a very endearing actor. Vigo makes me want to say it differently and I too thought of Fingilla Vigo from The Witcher. As for the others, Milo is lovely, but it doesn't age well. It works best as a pet name for Miles, I think. Zeno doesn't work for me. I'm a comic book lover and it looks WAY too close to Zemo. Zemo is a Marvel comic villain who is assciated with Nazis and has been prominent in comics for decades, as well as being the main villain in the final Captain America movie and he is about to be the main villain in Marvel's next TV show. I just feel like a lot of the upcoming generation is going to have that association. Comic (books/films/shows/games/etc) are pretty popular and well known these days.

Vigo is cool, but I definitely think of Viggo Mortensen. I barely even know who he is, but his name was in my head :P In general I like Zeno best, then Vigo, then Milo. But Milo is best if we're talking about a young kid or a small animal. I'm more used to Viggo, but I think Vigo is better. Two g's in a row looks very crowded.

I prefer the Viggo spelling, because it feels more like a first name. Probably because of Viggo Mortensen. The Vigo spelling actually reminds me of Fringilla Vigo, a sorceress from The Witcher books (and games, and tv shows...).
Between Vigo, Milo, and Zeno, I like Milo best.

Is Fringilla Vigo a likeable character or is it a negative association?

Eh, I wouldn't say it's a bad association necessarily. Most sorceresses in that story are morally ambiguous. They can do heroic things, or they can do terrible things, but in general the things they do benefit them for the most part. I guess she's a little bit more sympathetic than most, as a love interest for the main character, Geralt, and because she spends some time imprisoned and tortured for being a magic user. I think I lean more toward a good association because she's not outright terrible and I'm a fan of the stories.

I like them all. Despite being a classic, Zeno has a very strong, modern sci-fi sound. Milo seems very soft. I think Vigo is a good middle ground. As for the spelling, the Viggo spelling looks less appealing to me and is far more likely to be mispronounced.

The Viggo pronunciation is less intuitive for me too. It looks more like it would have the Swedish pronunciation VIG-go instead of Vee-go.

I don't know, Viggo Mortensen was/is a popular and well-known actor so I don't think it'd be mispronounced too often. It's certainly more familiar than Vigo. I actually remember working at a movie theater when his film Hidalgo came out-- midwest town, sooooo many of the old folks who came to see it could not, for the life of them, say Hidalgo, so they all just wound up calling it the 'Viggo movie'. If a bunch of midwestern WASPy white seniors can say Viggo, I think it may be good lol

Milo is the only one I care for.
Vigo/Viggo reminds me of Vito. No thanks.
Unless it’s a character name strictly for fictional purposes, I hate all Z names. Go ahead and throw in there X names, too. They just scream of look at me, look at me! I’m trying so hard to be different!**ETA: My mistake. I meant to reply to the original poster.
