A girl in my year at school was Dilara and went by Dilly. Her parents were from Bangladesh and I've always thought Dilara was an alternative translation of Delara.
It's pretty.

I love Persian names too, but not this one. I don’t like the “De” part, I think it sounds more masculine, and I’ve never really liked the name Lara.
