I like Jennifer enough to use; its popularity surge didn't last long and in my mind it's reverted to its former classic status.

Jenny is my preferred spelling; I like it and I don't mind Jen at all.

I've never liked the "fer" ending. And its popularity got to the point that when I received a birth announcement in 1984 from friends announcing that the name was Jennifer, I rolled my eyes and thought, "Couldn't they do better than that?"

I really like it, I would even consider using it. I think the nn Jenny is very sweet.

I like Jennifer and I think I can understand what was so appealing about it. It feels strong and spunky. I also really love the nickname Jenny. I think it's adorable.

However, I know endless numbers of Jens. They're everywhere. Why doesn't anyone go by Jenny?!

My stepdaughter is Jennifer. When I met her she went by Jenny, which is what the family called her growing up. At some point through counseling she changed to Jennifer as a way to shed childhood things and "grow up."

I had a roommate in college named Jennifer. At that time Jennifer was being used for newborns like crazy but you never met a grown-up Jennifer. Her middle name was Elizabeth, and I remember commenting to her that she had long names.

It’s hard to separate my feelings from its suffocating popularity, but I still don’t think I would like it. There are other, similar names that I don’t care for, and I almost always prefer the version of a name with the most historical context.

If it hadn't been nauseatingly popular, I would have found it sprightly and charming. However, it grates on me in reality.

I have a cousin named Jennifer, she is usually just Jennifer. I have never liked the name, the fer ending is unattractive and it has the same bland, not-quite-placeholder feel as Sarah or Amy.
Jennie/Jenny is cute enough.

It's OK. I do think I'd like it more if it hadn't been so overly popular. Nothing kills the appeal of a name more surely than overuse.

I like it. I know it’s been crazy popular in the English speaking world but I don’t mind that.

I like Jennifer. I know a 5 year old Jennifer and a 65 year old Jennifer. The 65 year old goes by Jenny but the 5 year old still uses the full name.
