Honestly if I saw it I'd assume it was a girl named Emerald and someone didn't hit the d key hard enough to actually type it.
Knowing it was actually the name, I'd assume it was a boy. It still looks cut-off though.

She probably has a sibling (gender irrelevant) named Diamon. Or Rube.
It reminds me of my friend's sister, whose name is Autum. The mom didn't pronounce the "n" on the end of the word and didn't see why she should put it in her baby's name.
I like Emerald better, the D makes it shiny. I do kind of like how it sounds like Admiral, who was a one-eyed horse friend of the family and I always thought his name was cool.

Makes me think of the chef Emeril.
Bam! Great chef, not so great name, terrible spelling. Is the one you met male or female?
Female, early 20s probably.
YAWN. Emerald minus the D!
It feels incomplete to me. Emerald's a bit of a guilty pleasure.
It’s Emerald without the D. I don’t care for it.
Did the d get left off by mistake?
Reminds me of the TV chef Emeril. Bam!

I'm surprised no one mentioned celebrity chef Emeril Legasse.
I just want to add a -d at the end. That's all I can think about when I see this name.
Ditto!
Looks like Emerald with a typo.
Not crazy about it. I don't know why, but it makes me think of Demerol.
dont like it, reminds me of a pain medication
