I don't care much for the name no matter what. I suppose I prefer it on a girl, because I have a hard time imagining the average guy going by Francis and I loathe the nn Frank / Frankie.

I think that if I were to actually use Frances/ Francis on a child I would probably use Frances on a girl, but when I think of men called Francis, I can only think of quite masculine people like Francis Drake. Thankyou anyway!
