I’ve just found this one and I’m not sure about it as it reminds me of Britain’s only poisonous snake the Adder. What do you think of Adderley for a girl?

Hideous, sorry! I just think of Adder too, so no thanks! Adderley is all things trendy, modern, made-up and silly and it would age terribly.

I don't care for it at all. It sounds trendy, insubstantial and makes me think of adderall.

Like you mentioned. I don't mind the snake association, but I really don't like the sound of this name.
I prefer Adélie (which is the name of a penguin! You can't escape the animal theme!)

Even if it weren't so... venomous, it would still sound like a trendy and insubstantial "I'm using a family surname as a given name because my great uncle was a moderately famous admiral/surgeon/actor/assassin" type of name.

I like all the elements, but something about the look throws me off? Adderly? Nah, that's worse. Aderley? Meh, no. Adderley. I think it's kinda cool! If I heard it I'd assume it was related to Cannonball Adderley, but that's because I'm deep in jazz world here.

Oof, I don't like it. In general I don't like Ad-names or Addle-names, or surnamey names, or the ending -erly. So I really couldn't have liked it.
It gives me a feeling akin to the words toddle and blather and stutter, and it sounds like ladder in pig Latin, and it's stiff and awkward and just about to topple over, and then there's the snake and now it's positively hilarious and I'd feel sad for a girl named Adderley. Not really - in real life I wouldn't bat an eye, just another surnamey fashionable-sounding name, that could even seem spiffy if she's accomplished. But I do not like it.
