Gwen for me. I like Gwendolen, but Gwenaelle is cool. Just kinda hard to say.
I think the combo May Gwenaelle sounds sort of awkward. But usable.
I would use Mae (although, with Gwenaelle the different ae's are a little odd). May to me looks sort of schmaltzy and childlike, it makes me think of the month and its ideal mildness. It's like Daisy, plain and sweet (too much so for my taste). Mae looks more urbane, it has an edge to it, and it's more of a name, less of an evocation of "pretty" to me. Mei is totally different from both, and I like it fine, it's just foreign to me so I have less associations and I'm less judgmental about it.
